This treatment uses basalt stones heated in water to perform the massage. Heather uses these smooth, heated stones to warm and relax the muscles, allowing for a deeper tissue massage and enhancing the client's relaxation.

The different sizes of these beautiful stones make them perfect for specific massage strokes. Some are placed on the body, while others are used to palpate the tissue. Many people who have experienced this type of massage are pleased with the healing results

-The Benefits of Hot Stone Massage

In addition to relaxation, a regular hot stone massage has many other benefits. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Better blood circulation and lower blood pressure
  • Helps to relieve muscular tension
  • Ensures a deeper massage
  • Helps to reduce symptoms of arthritis and fibromyalgia
  • Improves flexibility
  • It may help to relieve depression and anxiety
  • Relief of chronic pain, especially in the neck and back.
  • It warms those who regularly feel cold
  • Soothe the peripheral nervous system
  • Grounds body energy

How Does It Work?

During this treatment, the therapist prepares heated basalt stones in hot water. Stones are often strategically placed along the spine in the middle of the back. Heated stones can be placed on the abdomen, feet, chest, face, toes, and palms as needed. The placement of the stones can balance the body’s energy and help relieve pain in problem areas. It is believed that this originated from an ancient Chinese technique.

Before your massage, we will discuss your concerns and determine the best placement of the stones based on an assessment of your needs and physical condition.

What Happens During Treatment?

A Hot Stone Massage takes place in the tranquil ambiance of Heather's treatment room. The lights are low, and soft music is playing. The table is warm and comfortable as you disrobe and climb under the sheets. The massage utilizes heated, wet basalt stones of varying shapes and sizes to soothe and relax tension from sore muscles. Heather will place the stones on trigger points while others are used to palpate the muscular tissue. The stones balance the body’s energy and soothe the peripheral nervous system. Heather will use the stones throughout the entire massage, leaving you feeling refreshed, energized, and confident once again.

The Himalayan Salt Stone Massage is a gentle therapy tailored to your needs. This type of massage is very similar to traditional Hot Stone Massage, but therapists use heated stones made from pure Himalayan Salt instead of basalt stones to soothe tense muscles.

Additionally, these stones provide important minerals, hint elements, and ions that enhance normal fitness and well-being. If you are looking for an effective way to treat yourself, this remedy may be just what you need!

Himalayan Salt crystals contain 84 important trace minerals, electrolytes, and elements. We have included an explanation of a few that are involved in important day-to-day physical activity and well-being:

  • Oxygen – a gas your body needs to function properly. It helps cells to produce energy.
  • Phosphorus – is needed for the production of RNA and DNA in the body, along with the growth, maintenance, and repair of all tissues and cells.
  • Selenium – an essential component of various enzymes and proteins. They help make DNA and protect against cell damage and infections. It is also involved in the reproduction and metabolism of thyroid hormones.
  • Silicon – nourishes the skin, hair, and nails. It helps to form tendons and ligaments in the body.
  • Sodium – Helps maintain the proper balance of vitamins and minerals in the body, nerve impulse conduction, and the contraction and relaxation of muscles.

Trigger Point Therapy

60 minutes: $135
75 minutes: $165
90 minutes: $195

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing \"trigger points\" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These \"knots\" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

- that simply touching a specific point on the body will release stress and improve health. In an acupressure session, I apply firm pressure directly to these “points” on your body, which relieves your muscle tension and improves your circulation. This simple and powerful technique is very effective in treating headaches, backaches, and even insomnia.

Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $150
75 minutes: $185
90 minutes: $220

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Myofascial Release

60 minutes: $135

Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. It does this by using massage techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Direct myofascial release is sometimes known as deep tissue work. Indirect release applies light pressure and gently stretches the fascia; this allows for increased blood circulation and relief from pain.

Rejuvenating CBD Benefits: A Pain Relief Massage

Massage with CBD Oils vs Regular Massage

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical in the Cannabis sativa plant, also known as cannabis or hemp, from the male cannabis plant. It is the only specific form approved as a drug in the US by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) since June 25, 2018.

cbd-banner

The main difference between a regular massage and a massage with CBD oil is simply the CBD, which is a huge factor. When applied topically, CBD interacts with neuro receptors in the body’s endocannabinoid system, which sends signals between cells to help regulate movement, mood, homeostasis, and the immune system.

The benefits are real, although the massage technique may vary from therapist to therapist. The easiest way to determine whether the added benefits work well for you is to try it and experience the difference. Results showed a significant reduction in intense, sharp pains and cold, itchy sensations in those who used the topical CBD.

Chronic Pain: Does CBD oil-infused massage work?

Individuals turn to massages as a way of escaping stress and relaxing. Thanks to its wide range of healing properties, just about everyone can enjoy and benefit from CBD in some way. CBD's pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory agents help decrease inflammation within joints and muscles, allowing massage therapists to work more efficiently.

CBD massage treatments are designed to restore balance to these areas and soothe the tension, improving physical and mental wellness. CBD oil responds to receptors in the skin. It enters the body via the endocannabinoid (ECS) system, which regulates the immune system, nervous system, muscle tissue, and skin. CBD is athletes’ top choice to help accelerate the healing and recovery of injured connective tissue.

The calming properties can be particularly beneficial for anyone with various ailments or stressors. In further studies, CBD has helped inhibit the growth of cancerous cells. Keep in mind that nonprescription CBD products are not FDA-approved, so be careful if you plan to avail CBD products online or by any other means.
